I am a woman who has been down the road of spiritual discovery my whole life. It has been an up-and-down-and-all-around sort of thing. I have always known I had a bigger purpose for being here on our planet. It seemed like every step I took got me a little closer to understanding it, but the deep-down-heart-and-soul purpose REALLY became clear to me during a personal growth daily adventure that I’ve shared on this blog. My purpose is clear NOW and I’m on fire with enthusiasm for empowering women to find their own passion and purpose in life.
I remember the feeling of utter fear when I finally decided to divorce my first husband after 7 years of marriage. It was like a wave of nausea, anxiety, and stress moving from the top of my head down to my feet. It freaked me out. I thought, “What is going on? Why is this happening to me?”
It was my body and my soul trying to tell me something. The bigger aspect of “me” was trying to tell me “change your life because you are not happy and this is not right”.
So, I started some major intensive soul searching.
I read every spiritual book I could get my hands on. I asked people I knew what their belief systems were. I took classes on religion. I attended churches. I went to mind-body-spirit seminars. I tried to meditate. I consulted psychics for information. I had energy healing. I started getting therapy. I wrote journal entry after journal entry. I mean I was a woman seeking spiritual wisdom and relief from my internal pain like no other!
Then I went to a weekend meditation class, and I asked my husband for a divorce the next weekend. It was that quick. The insights I had gained with just one weekend of quieting my mind had given me certain direction. I knew I needed to leave him.
This clarity completely changed my life. I went from an anxious mess of depression, to a personally fulfilled powerful woman. It still blows my mind because it’s almost like that woman from years ago wasn’t even me!
The journey since then exposed me to quantum physics, the law of attraction, and visioning. I took an intensive two-year course about meditation, intuition, and clairvoyance. That was amazing. I learned skills and healing techniques in that class that stick with me today like glue.
Then I started using sandtray in a more powerful way in my work. I taught some courses to caregivers with a dear friend of mine, and the feeling of joy I felt while teaching those classes was a direct call to my purpose. It was pure joy, incredible peace, and the feeling that God was leading me and telling me, “See this is what your purpose feels like. Listen to it.” The director of the university organization we were teaching with told us he had never seen such high marks from students in 20 years. Wow!
Teaching meditation classes with another dear friend to small groups of women was also a blessing in my life. We continued this journey together for years and included powerful weekend mountain retreats to our students. When women get together and meditate, process, and learn it is a beautiful thing. These women gave us hearfelt thanks and said the classes had changed their lives. They said they were more centered, more spiritual, more grounded, and more passionate about their lives. I felt honored beyond measure to be a part of it.
Now my direct calling is to serve women on a global scale. I have massive excitement in my heart, mind, and soul to help guide women down the path of true purpose towards passion and prosperity. As Maria Shriver said recently in a Success magazine CD, “Women have a heart, they have a mind, and they have a soul. And they need to USE IT.”
